Kaputa District is a District of Zambia located in Northern Province . The capital lies at Kaputa , as of the 2000 Zambian Census, the district had a population of 87,233 people. The district also has rich deposits of uranium and other precious stones. Patriotic Front Kaputa Member of Parliament Maxas Bweupe Ng'onga confirmed the discovery to Jenalanews.blogsport in Lusaka today. The minerals were discovered following exploration expeditions by Geologists in the area. And Mr. Ng'onga has  requested the government to render support to the companies  which are carrying out oil explorations in the block that encompasses Kaputa, Chiyengi and Mporokoso districts. Zambia Development Agency-ZDA Chief Executive Officer Perry Mapani says it is rewarding to invest in Zambia's agriculture because of attractive business incentives. Mr. Mapani says an investor in the sector is allowed to import agriculture equipment duty free adding that corporate tax is only 10% as opposed to 35% in other sectors. He said this when Zambia's High Commissioner to India Judith Kapijimpanga took PRASAD Seeds Company that wants to set up a multi-million dollar seed processing facility in Zambia. Defense Permanent Secretary Sturdy Mwale has warned that government will soon cancel all Memorandum of Understandings with institutions that are not serious to avoid wasting time. And Mr. Mwale says his Ministry is taking seriously, the directive by President Edgar Lungu, to venture into agriculture for Zambia to be food secure. Mr. Mwale says his Ministry is therefore, considering working with an Indian company, PRASAD Seeds, through a joint venture or public private partnership in order to achieve food security. NEPAL'S Minister of Industry Sunil Thapa has urged the business community in his country to consider investing in Zambia. Mr. THAPA says Nepal is happy to note that in the year 2010 Zambia was captured among the fastest growing economies in Africa. He says Zambia and Nepal share similar challenges and opportunities because both countries are land linked. Government has been urged to preserve certain jobs in the country for Zambians.  Youth Aid Chairperson Chungu Kachenga says this is because the unemployment rate in Zambia is on the increase especially with the removal of street vendors from the streets. And Mr. Kachenga has advised government to investigate foreigners abusing Zambian workers. He says he is aware that some Zambians working for foreign owned companies are working under very hostile conditions. Patriotic Front Kanyama Member of Parliament Elizabeth Phiri has threatened to take legal action against PF Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili for defamation over his accusations that she is collecting money from minibus drivers in her constituency. "It could be that Mr. Chishimba Kambwili has got something against me as an individual, I had high respect for him, I am a politician he is dragging me in the net where he wants to have so many enemies and start fighting with him" said Ms. Phiri.
