NEPAL'S Minister of Industry Sunil Thapa urges business community to invest in Zambia
NEPAL'S Minister of Industry Sunil Thapa has urged the
business community in his country to consider investing in Zambia.
Mr. THAPA says Nepal is happy to note that in the year 2010 Zambia was captured among the fastest growing economies in Africa.
He says Zambia and Nepal share similar challenges and opportunities because both countries are land linked.
Mr. THAPA said this when Zambia's Ambassador Extra Ordinary and Plenipotentiary to Nepal on a non -residential basis, Judith Kapijimpanga, called on him in Kathmandu, Nepal.
The Cabinet Minister says his Ministry will do everything possible to expedite cooperation between Zambia and Nepal in the interest of industrializing the two countries.
Mr. THAPA says the two countries should now make progress by formalizing co-operation through Ministries and chambers of commerce and industry.
And Zambia's Ambassador Extra Ordinary and Plenipotentiary to Nepal on a non -residential basis, Judith Kapijimpanga, say President Edgar Lungu wants to work with countries such as Nepal to industrialise Zambia.
Mrs. Kapijimpanga has since urged the business community of Nepal to take part in this year's Zambia Agriculture and Commercial Show as well other international exhibitions in order to explore business opportunities in Zambia.
