Trade Kings invests over US$1 billion in Industrial Development
Trade Kings Group says it has invested more than US$1 billion in industrial development, including US$110 million towards Zambia's first starch and glucose plant at the Lusaka Multi-Facility Economic Zone. The investment is part of the company's broader strategy to strengthen local manufacturing, support agriculture and expand Zambia's participation in regional markets. Speaking during a media briefing ahead of the 2026 Agricultural and Commercial Show of Zambia, Trade Kings Group Public Relations Manager Dr. Bridget Kambobe said the company remains committed to supporting sustainable economic growth and industrialisation. She said Trade Kings currently procures approximately 126,000 tonnes of locally grown maize annually, creating a market for local farmers while supporting the development of the country's manufacturing sector.
