Katuba Constituency Looks to 2025 with Hope and Practical Solutions

As 2024 comes to a close, Katuba Constituency is reflecting on the challenges it has faced, including drought, reduced agricultural output, and economic instability.

However, Mwachikoka Chooma, a dedicated government activist, is offering a message of hope and resilience.

Mr. Chooma has emphasized the potential for growth and development in Katuba, particularly in the agricultural sector.

He has urged constituents to diversify their farming activities and focus on high-value cash crops such as okra, onions, and tomatoes stressing that these crops have a quick turnaround time and can provide a steady income stream.




Mr. Chooma has appealed to farmers in the area to Focus on high-value cash crops to increase income and stimulate economic growth and invest in boreholes and implement water-saving measures to ensure continued productivity despite water scarcity.

He has noted the need to for constituents in Katuba Constituency to encourage the formation of cooperatives and clubs to access financing programs and promote economic empowerment and demand tangible development and improved social amenities, such as schools, hospitals, and roads.

Mr. Chooma's vision for Katuba's future is one of optimism and practicality.
