"My Legacy will be hard to Erase" Sialubalo declares

In the heart of Sinazongwe, a quiet transformation is taking place one project at a time.

Gift Sialubalo, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sinazongwe under the United Party for National Development (UPND), has boldly bragged that his legacy will be difficult to erase.

Unlike many, he has chosen to go beyond his legislative duties, investing his personal resources to drive development across the constituency.

Since assuming office in 2016, Mr. Sialubalo has prioritized service delivery in a way that has left an indelible mark.

Over the past seven years, he has initiated and completed at least one developmental project per month, culminating in over 246 projects and programs all funded from his personal resources.

His efforts extend to every ward, complementing government-funded initiatives.

While many development projects are supported by state funding, Mr. Sialubalo has personally spearheaded the construction of community schools, ward development committee (WDC) offices in Sinazongwe and Sinenge, Simukole Staff House, Sikuteneka School, Nyanga Clinic, and numerous water pumps.

He has also contributed financially to various construction projects, including schools, churches, and healthcare facilities.

Among his most notable contributions are the celebration of Independence Day in the constituency, funding for local sporting events, support for market shelter construction, and various youth empowerment programs.

“The true essence of being a Member of Parliament is to improve the lives of the people you represent,” Mr. Sialubalo stated. “Each of these projects is carefully planned to address a specific community need whether it’s ensuring access to clean water, improving healthcare services, or supporting education. Development should be tangible, and that is what I am working to achieve.”

His commitment has earned him the nickname “Man at Work,” a title that fuels his determination to continue driving meaningful change in Sinazongwe.

Looking ahead, he has ambitious plans for further road connectivity projects, expanded water supply systems, and additional infrastructure improvements.

While Mr. Sialubalo’s personal contributions stand out, he has acknowledged the significant role played by the UPND administration under President Hakainde Hichilema in fostering development across Sinazongwe.

He has commended the government for its substantial investments in the district, particularly through the Constituency Development Fund (CDF).

“The new dawn government has brought unprecedented development to Sinazongwe. Through CDF, we have seen major infrastructure developments and empowerment programs that have benefited our people,” he said. “Many women and youth have accessed grants, loans, and skills training, changing their lives for the better.”

Among the government-supported projects, Mr. Sialubalo has highlighted the near-completion of the Sinazeze Modern Market in Nkandabbwe Ward and the Mini Hospital at Sinazeze Hill, both of which are expected to boost economic activity and healthcare services in the district.

“These developments were nonexistent before 2021. Since the new dawn government came into power, we have seen real transformation. We are grateful to President Hichilema for his leadership and commitment to uplifting the lives of the people in Sinazongwe,” he said.

For Mr. Sialubalo, leadership is not just about passing laws in Parliament; it is about direct impact and tangible results.

His hands on approach to development, coupled with his collaboration with the central government, is setting a precedent for what effective representation should look like.

As he continues to push for more projects and initiatives, the people of Sinazongwe are witnessing a leader determined to leave a legacy of progress and transformation one that will be remembered for generations to come.
