President Hakainde Hichilema has been urged to set up a Commission of Inquiry to look into the corruption that took place during the PF regime especially with revelations made by former ZESCO board chairman Dr Mbita Chitala in his latest book.

In his book entitled “Corporate Capture, the Political Economy of Electricity Management in Zambia 2014-2021”, (How Not to Manage a State Enterprise); Dr Chitala reveals several incidences of alleged corruption involving PF government officials in the energy sector.

He says a lot of people have information about what was happening and want to express themselves, thus the call on the President to set up a Commission of Inquiry.

Meanwhile Mr. Saunders has challenged Political Advisor to the President Levy Ngoma and Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security Josephs Akafumba to apologize to President Hakainde Hichilema, the nation and UPND party for implicating head of state in the Democratic Party leadership wrangles.
