Kanyama protest politically motivated-Kombe

Vision Ambassador Chairman Misheck Kombe has described the protest by Kanyama residents demanding that they should be allowed back on the streets to sell from their as politically motivated.

Mr. Kombe has called on security wings to investigate this matter and bring to book all perpetrators who would be found wanting.

He has told Journalist in Lusaka that it is not clear why residents in Kanyama have decided to protest when all this while they have been cooperating.

Mr. Kombe also wondered why residents in Kanyama should be the only one to protest when they are not the only ones who are affected.

He says the motive behind the protest will be deemed political and calls for serious investigation on the matter.

Meanwhile Vision Ambassador Chairman has called on Zambians to make sure that they keep their soundings clean so as to prevent the spread of the disease in the country.

Mr. Kombe has praised government for its effort in ensuring that Cholera outbreak is contained and assure to help propagate the message of hygiene and proper sanitation practices to avoid disease.

He says the work of behavioral change in hygiene and sanitation could not be done by government alone thus the need for the organization to embark on sensitization and vaccination programmes in Lusaka.

And Vision Ambassador Deputy Secretary Maggie Mwandunga says her organization is on top of the situation and is making efforts towards containing the outbreak.

Ms. Mwandunga has urged Zambians to be actively involved in the cholera sensitization campaign to prevent the spread of the disease in the country.


The vision ambassador made the call during the sensitization meeting at Chipata First Level Hospital.
