Davis & Shirtliff, Flowserve team up to Power Zambia’s Industrial sector

Davis & Shirtliff, a leading provider of water and energy solutions in Africa, has entered into a strategic partnership with Flowserve Corporation, a global leader in flow control products and services, to enhance access to premium industrial pumps and seals in Zambia.

The collaboration enables Davis & Shirtliff to expand its industrial product range with high-performance Flowserve equipment, while Flowserve, a New York Stock Exchange-listed company, gains access to Zambia and broader Southern African markets through Davis & Shirtliff’s extensive regional footprint.

Under the agreement, Davis & Shirtliff now offers an expanded catalogue of Flowserve products including Mark 3 DURCO chemical pumps, ZLINE, Innomag, ISOMAG, vacuum and multi-stage pumps.

Also available are advanced mechanical seal solutions such as KeyPS, ISC2, slurry and mixer seals, bearing guards, and other accessories.

 Davis & Shirtliff Zambia Managing Director Jonathan Mainga, says the company is re thrilled to collaborate with Flowserve to provide Zambian industries with durable, high-efficiency pumping and sealing solutions.

He says these technologies will help companies cut energy costs, improve infrastructure resilience, and contribute to more sustainable industrial practices.

Mr. Mainga says the partnership aims to drive industrial transformation in key sectors such as mining, chemical processing, petrochemicals, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and general manufacturing across Zambia, Tanzania, Kenya, Somalia, and Uganda.

Flowserve’s IoT-enabled predictive maintenance solution, RedRaven, is also part of the offering. It provides real-time equipment monitoring and performance analytics, helping customers reduce downtime, prevent failures, and increase operational efficiency.

“RedRaven equips plant operators with insights to maintain reliability and reduce costs, which is vital in today’s competitive industrial environment,” said Mainga. “We’re especially proud to support industries as they align with new climate-related regulations and adopt greener technologies.”

Speaking at the same event, Sales Director for Africa and Southwest Europe at Flowserve Danillo Petritti, has emphasized the global company's commitment to sustainability.

The industrial sector currently accounts for about 35 percent of Zambia’s GDP and is seen as a key driver of economic growth, employment, and technological advancement.
